Story of the day: Hartlepool United 1-0 Woking – Rhys Oates' late winner makes it nine unbeaten in the National League
Hartlepool United made it nine games unbeaten in the National League with a 1-0 victory over Woking at Victoria Park.
Rhys Oates’ late strike was enough to separate the sides on Saturday afternoon as Pools looked to be heading for a fourth straight draw.
But the three points sees Dave Challinor’s side close the gap at the top of the table to four points as they remain second in the table.
It’s also 28 points out of the last 30 available at Victoria Park.
