Ola Toivonen, Fabio Borini and Duncan Watmore came into the Sunderland side for today's trip to Arsenal

Without injured striker Jermain Defoe, plus midfielders Seb Larsson and Lee Cattermole - the latter ruled out after suffering a repeat of his back problem yesterday - Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce opted to switch to a 5-4-1 set-up for the trip to the Emirates.

Toivonen, making his first appearance in a month, came into the middle of the park alongside Yann M'Vila, while Watmore and Borini occupied the spots on either flank.

DeAndre Yedlin kept his place ahead of Billy Jones, despite the former West Brom full-back returning from a one-match ban.
