On-loan Sunderland winger Will Buckley must earn his place in the Leeds United side, says new boss Steve Evans.
Buckley has started just one Championship game since joining Leeds on loan last month, and was an unused substitute for their 2-0 defeat to Blackburn Rovers last week.
And Evans - hoping to sign Buckley's Sunderland and ex-Brighton team-mate Liam Bridcutt on loan too - says the 25-year-old must demonstrate his worth to the Championship strugglers.
"I think Will wants to have more game time," said Evans.
He's another player that I've had a chat with and said he has to demonstrate it by performance and earn the right to be in the team, but Will was out a long time with a bad injury before he came to Leeds United.
"Of course that's behind him now and he'll want to kick on and get matches, but you have to deserve to be in the team"
