Jermain Defoe and Fabio Borini should both be available for this weekend's visit of Stoke City.

Defoe limped off with an ankle injury in Sunderland's victory at Crystal Palace on Monday night after grabbing the winner, but the injury was not as bad as first feared.

Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce confirmed today that the England international has "every chance" of featuring in Saturday's clash against the Potters.

Fellow frontman Borini - who missed the Palace game as he continued his recovery from an ankle injury - is also available after returning to fitness.
