SUNDERLAND could face Gus Poyet’s former club Brighton in the FA Cup quarter-finals.
The Black Cats were today handed an away draw against either the Seagulls or Hull City in the last eight of the competition, with the two sides meeting at the Amex Stadium tomorrow night.
That could either see Poyet return to Brighton - the club where he spent three-and-a-half years before leaving acrimoniously at the end of last season.
Or Sunderland could face former manager Steve Bruce again, who has twice overseen victories for the Tigers against the Black Cats this season.
The quarter-final tie will take place on the weekend of March 8-9.
