SUNDERLAND have completed the capture of goalkeeper Vito Mannone, with the ex-Arsenal stopper penning a two-year deal at the Stadium of Light.
Mannone moves to Wearside for an undisclosed fee after the Gunners accepted an offer for the stopper last weekend.
The 25-year-old becomes Sunderland sixth signing of the summer, following on from Bosman arrivals Cabral, Valentin Roberge and Modibo Diakite, plus youngsters Duncan Watmore and David Moberg Karlsson.
Mannone spent eight years at Arsenal, making 23 appearances for the club after joining from Italian side Atlanta aged 17.
The Italian will now provide competition for Keiren Westwood in the Sunderland goal after the £9million-plus departure of Simon Mignolet to Liverpool last month.
