IRELAND CALL: Keiren Westwood.

SUNDERLAND trio John O’Shea, Keiren Westwood and James McClean have all been included in the Republic of Ireland squad for next month’s friendly with Serbia.

The Black Cats contingent, all part of the squad for the summer’s European Championships, will travel to Belgrade for the clash on August 15 – just three days before the start of the Premier League campaign.

The game will hold particular significance for Westwood, who is almost certain to start after Ireland number one Shay Given was left out of the squad along with fellow veterans Robbie Keane and Richard Dunne.

Ireland begin their World Cup qualifying campaign against Kazakhstan in September.
