LIVERPOOL striker Mario Balotelli has done nothing for the reputation of modern professional footballers by moaning about the cold weather in Sunderland.
The controversial Italian international was in Wearside at the weekend for Liverpool’s 1-0 victory over the Black Cats at the Stadium of Light.
But the 24-year-old, from the slightly sunnier Italian city of Palermo, wasn’t impressed with the weather.
“This is the ******* coldest city I’ve ever ******* played in,” he reportedly sniped as he left the Stadium of Light.
Some may say the striker was perhaps looking for excuses for his poor performance, including slipping over while making a run for the goal.
