The club is launching a number of introductory sessions under the Get Into Golf programme.

The courses begin with a taster session “Girls Golf Rocks”, this Saturday, May 5, between 2pm and 4pm.

This is an early introduction for junior players who may be interested in starting the game, covering all the basics and providing a light hearted casual approach to learning the rudiments of golf.

On Monday 14 a beginner session for those young ladies now keen to take the next step will be held between 5.30pm and 6.30pm.

Martin Trenholme eclipsed the field by three clear stokes, playing his way to a three under par 67.

An opening net birdie followed by a net eagle on the long par five gave Martin’s
