GRAEME Storm has moved into the top 10 at the ISPS Handa Wales Open.
The Hartlepool golfer shot a six-under-par 65 on day three at Celtic Manor to go into a share of ninth place going into the final round.
After the encouragement of rounds of 71 and 69 on the opening two days, Storm really turned it on with seven birdies at Newport to move up 13 spots on the leaderboard.
A birdie at the fourth seemed a good start, only to bogey the fifth.
However, Storm hit form from the ninth and never looked back.
He birdied the 580-yard par five before sinking five birdies in seven holes, including a red-hot run of four on the spin.
Storm had red figures at the 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th before bagging his birdie putt at the 211-yard 17h.
The Hartlepool Golf Club member must have fancied his chances at the 18th after birdies on the first two days.
But he had to settle for a par five to end a superb round of 65 to be on 205.
Joost Luiten also shot a 65 to be on 199 (14 under) to hold a two stroke lead over overnight leader Shan Lwry, who registered a 68.
Frenchman Gregory Havret’s 66 took him joint third with Thongchai Jaidee (67) on 202.
