Club Cup round 9 -

A brilliant 62 from Michael Williams put him five strokes clear at the top of round nine of the Club Cup.

From the ranks of the up and coming juniors, it was the young son and daughter of the Seaton professional Cliff Jackson who make the headlines once again.

A great result for both kids in the recent competition at Woodham GC.

In Cliffy’s own words “Lucca finished in first place with a round of 38, +2 for nine holes. He played some unreal golf am so proud of him.

“Ella finished in second place with a round of 53 again, I am so proud and given that she has only played a handful of competitive golf events I’m so pleased with her progress. Well done kids! One proud Daddy/coach”.

TSU Inter-Club Leagues

After week eleven, division one sees Seaton Carew GC pulling themselves clear of the relegation zone.

Even after a defeat at Bishop Auckland by 19-5, Seaton are now 15 points clear of Caste Eden, Cleveland and Richmond, who are propping up the table on just 106 points.

Castle Eden are still languishing a little on just 112, having fallen at home to Eaglescliffe by 10-14,

buy there’s still time for a resurgence before the end of the season.

In division two Hartlepool continue their dominance of the division, even after a narrow defeat at the hands of Hunley.

With a consolidation of their current lead at the top, with 160 points and a margin of 26 over their nearest rivals Billingham the team’s confidence will be high.
