GRAEME Storm went into the second half of the Open de Andalucía in Spain today in great shape.
The Hartlepool golfer followed up a two-under-par 70 at Aloha Golf Club on Thursday with a score of 69 at the Costa del Sol course yesterday.
It put Storm as one of six players on 139 (three under) and just three strokes behind mid-point leader Eduardo de la Riva.
Storm got off to a great start yesterday when he birdied his first hole, the 561-yard par-five 10th.
A bogey followed at the par four 12th buit it was a rare mishap for the 33-year-old.
He birdied the 16th and then sank his putt for a two on the par three 17th.
Storm’s good form continued with back-to-back birdies, a four at the par five fifth and a three at the sixth.
That took the former French Open champ to four under but he slipped to three under with a bogey five at the seventh.
First-round leader Matteo Manassero went from the sublime to the ridiculous, following an opening-day 64 with a 73 yesterday but the teenager was still only a shot off the lead.
