WEST Hartlepool may have lost three times on the spin but you won’t hear any Cpl Jones cries of “Don’t Panic” at Brinkburn.
After losing badly at struggling Morley, West have failed to trouble the proverbial scorers for the last two Saturdays.
But head coach Tim Sawyer remains ambitious even though October continues in testing fashion with a home date on Saturday against Bradford & Bingley by another trip to Cheshire, to fourth-placed Birkenhead Park.
November looks a much more appealing month with matches against relegation candidates Altrincham Kersal, Beverley and Waterloo, but Sawyer has his sights set on the top half of National Three North.
“We are not worried about anyone so far in this league,” Sawyer told SportMail.
“We are sat in mid-table but we should have ambitions a bit higher really.
“We want to establish ourselves as a regular team in National Three North.”
