1. Jonny Howson

2. Cyrus Christie
The attacking full-back spent just over six months on Teesside after being made surplus to requirements under Tony Pulis. Christie made 28 Premier League appearances for Fulham last season and has featured 21 times in the Championship this campaign following the Cottagers' relegation from the top flight. 3. Martin Braithwaite
Braithwaite's last game for Boro was a pre-season friendly at Hartlepool in July. Seven months later, the Danish forward joined Spanish giants Barcelona on an emergency deal from La Liga strugglers Leganes. 4. Britt Assombalonga
