The festival which celebrate’s Hartlepool’s unique heritage returned for its fifth successful year with a full weekend of entertainment.

Visitors got a bit of Christmas shopping in early at the festive fair in St Hilda's Church.

Hartlepool Wintertide Festival kicked off on Friday, November 22 with a spectacular community parade that lit up The Headland and will culminate on Sunday, November 24 with a finale and fireworks display.

Visitors enjoyed a whole host of live music, workshops, performances and an outdoor Christmas and crafts market to celebrate the start of the festive season.
