A Hartlepool teenager is taking on the best that Europe has to offer.
Katie Wise, 13, is proudly representing England in the European Cheerleading Championships, starting tomorrow in Slovenia. Katie has teamed up with fellow 13-year-old Orla Farndale for the event.

Katie represents the Hartlepool Hawks cheerleading academy while Orla is from the Puma Cheerleading Club in Guisborough.
Hawks founder Rebecca Taylor said: “Katie and Orla only met two months ago when they were selected by the British Cheeerleading Association to represent England and have been training really hard for this event.
“They are competing in the Junior Jazz division against teams from all over Europe. It is such a honour to represent your country and what an amazing thing to do at such a young age.”
The achievement is the latest success for the Hawks. Its youth stunt group level 3 team has reached the London finals of the of the Legacy’s Championship called Stand Strong.
And another group has qualified for The European Summit, which will be held at the Worcester Arena, in Worcester from July 25-26.
