Chelsea’s stars shine at Primrose Valley

BIG congratulations go to these youngsters from Chelsea Lupton’s School of Dance in Hartlepool who returned from their latest competition with this impressive collection of trophies.

Youngsters from the dance school had their skills put to the test when they travelled to Primrose Valley, near Filey, in North Yorkshire for the championship event.

They went up against other talented dancers from all over the UK.

And teacher Chelsea was delighted after they claimed an amazing 133 trophies over the course of the weekend.

And the majority of silverware was for first places and runners up.

Chelsea said: “All the children did really well. They have been working hard in classes these last couple of months and defiantly show at the weekend.

“The children who took part where from England Scotland and Wales.

“My children won 133 trophies 84 of them been winners and runners up.”

Among those deserving of a special mention were student Lexie McKinley who won trophies for Under 8 Starter.

She also won Best Overall dancer and she and Leona Atkinson won the Under 8 Beginner Pairs.

Meanwhile it was a hat-trick of trophies for Taylor Lupton and Casey-Jo Donovan.

They won the Under 8 Rock and Roll, Under 8 Slow Dance Pairs and Under 8 Intermediate Pairs.

Megan Skeet and Ebony Gardner were victorious in the Under 12 Championship Pairs.

Bethany Brown and Jasmine Margetts won the Under 14 Intermediate Pairs.

Solo awards were presented to Mollie Crossman in the Under 6 category, Beth Stevens who won Adult Solo, Bethany Brown for the Under 14, Casey-Jo in the Under 8 and Maisie Amerigo won the Under 6 slow dance.
