A DANCE school has rewarded its young students with awards.
Students of all ages turned up to collect trophies on a night when more than 80 people turned up to watch.
The JLM Dance School, which is based within the Victoria Park home of Hartlepool United, held a presentation party which included a demonstration involving every student.
The school is run by Jemma Mudd, who has been a dancer herself since she was five years old.
The event was held at the Raglan Club, and Jemma said: “All the students in our ‘JLM does Disney themed show’ were dancing to well-known Disney songs from across the years from Snow White to Frozen.
“All the students really enjoyed themselves and danced fabulously. I was so pleased with the turnout and continued support of all students.”
Jemma said the event was hugely successful. and lots of money was raised from raffle tickets and cupcake stalls. It will all go towards the proceeds of the school’s visit to Blackpool for a competition later in the year.
Awards were also handed out. Carmen Hann won the JLM Dance Star award for her continued dedication in her dancing and positive attitude in the school.
Many of the pupils in the Latin Inline class picked up honours, including Sharon Winship. who won most improved dancer award.
There were also honours for children in the Toddler Bopper, Intro Two, Intro One, beginner, and five and under classes.
JLM is always keen to hear from potential new starters.
