ORGANISERS of an annual beer festival say ticket sales point to a record-breaking year.
Hartlepool Round Table hosts the Beer Festival at the Borough Hall on Friday and Saturday, and organisers are now putting the final touches to their biggest fundraising event of the year.
Mark Rycraft, from the Round Table, said: “We’ve had all the meetings and the preparation, and now we’re virtually ready to go.
“This is our biggets event of the year and we always get a good crowd in, but the ticket sales we have had so far suggest this could be a record-breaker for us.”
Each year cash raised from the event is handed over to charity, and this year’s recipients will be Hartlepool Families First and Hartlepool Carers.
Mark added: “We can’t wait to get going now, the beers are settling nicely and we also have bottled beers and lager available as well as ciders, as we are aware that the real ales may not be to everyone’s taste and we try to cater for everyone.”
Doors will open on Friday at 6pm, with musical entertainment from The Killerz from 7.30pm.
On Saturday there will be a “beer only” session from 12pm-3pm, with the evening session once again starting from 6pm with Bjorn to be Abba taking to the stage.
Tickets are priced £10 if booked online at www.hartlepoolbeerfestival.co.uk, or £12.50 from Timlins in Church Square or First Class Shoe Repairs in Middleton Grange Shopping Centre.
There are also £2.50 discount vouchers which can be printed off the Hartlepool Round Table’s Facebook page.
