A REAL ale pub is holding a festival-style music event in aid of charity.

The Causeway Oxjam is being held at The Causeway pub, in Stranton, Hartlepool, over the weekend of Friday, October 4, and Saturday, October 5.

The event will raise money for international charity Oxfam and will see 12 bands and several solo acoustic musicians take to the stage.

Landlord Sean Bell said: “The event will be a Friday evening of solo acoustic musicians taking to the stage from 7pm onwards.

“Saturday starts at 12pm and involves approximately 12 bands doing one hour slots each.

“It’ll be a great weekend and all to raise as much money as we possibly can for a good cause.”

The Friday leg of the fundraiser will see solo acoustic musicians Ryan Wenn, Paul Hart, Gilly and Kate Williams.

Saturday will welcome The White Negroes, Shoot The Poet, Fat Bob, Skyran, Grouchy Mishap, Delta Dog, Hand Of Aces, The Incident, No Excuse, Doc Brown, Murdock Circus, and Hobo Mojo.

Entry fees for Friday night cost £3, and £6 for Saturday, and £8 for both days.

There will also be a raffle and other sponsored sub-events to raise money for the cause.
