SEEING Lady Gaga live in concert isn’t something you’ll quickly forget.

The American songstress put on a brilliantly bizarre show at Newcastle’s Metro Radio Arena as part of her ARTPOP Ball tour.

The stage, that extended out into the audience, promised an impressive production and Gaga delivered on an enormous scale.

Known for her eccentric outfits, the Poker Face singer rose from beneath the stage wearing a glittering leotard and angel wings after a huge white cloth dropped to reveal the band and outrageously-dressed back-up dancers who paraded around the stage with giant balloons that were passed into the audience.

The near-capacity crowd, made up of fans known as Little Monsters, were completely overwhelmed by the star’s appearance and literally showered her with gifts throughout the show.

Confetti explosions covered the crowd as she sang album tracks like Artpop and GUY before leaving the stage for the first of six costume changes.

Her clothes were skimpy – showing off her enviable figure – and eccentric, and the star looked absolutely fantastic.

Gaga’s stamina is unbelievable. The way she sings and dances energetically throughout the show demonstrates not only her fitness and dedication, but her amazing talent as well.

Hit songs like Just Dance, Poker Face, Telephone, Judas and Paparazzi went down a storm.

As the singer kneeled at the edge of the stage, fans clambered to hold her hand and there was an air of sheer hysteria in the room throughout the night.

The staging was clearly very expensive, but it was worth every penny – it looked completely amazing.

Gaga slowed it down in parts of the show by taking to a piano to sing the likes of You And I, The Edge of Glory, and Born This Way, which she dedicated to the LGBT community.

After a long wait for the encore, Gaga came back looking stunning in a glittery dress with a long train to end the show with Gypsy.

The concert was a completely bonkers but unforgettable experience. It was my first time seeing Gaga live, but it certainly won’t be the last.
