A band who have shared the stage with a host of household names are coming to Hartlepool to perform.

The cult English blues band Nine Degrees Below Zero will perform at the Fishermans Arms, on the Headland in a gig on Wednesday, October 7.

They have performed alongside bands including The Who, The Kinks and Eric Clapton.

The four-piece appeared on the first episode of the BBC’s anarchic comedy The Young Ones.

Fishermans’ Arms landlord Paul Williams says tickets are selling fast to see the band whose heyday was in the 80s.

He said: “They have got a huge following. It’s a bit of a coup to have them here. They have played with just about anyone you can think of.

“The band were fairly massive in the 80s and still tour all over the world.

“Anyone who knows them will be biting our hands off for a ticket.”

Tickets are limited to 60 and are priced £15. They are available from the pub in Southgate.
