Reformed pop sensations Steps have added an extra Newcastle date to their UK arena tour due to phenomenal demand to see them.
The '90s chart-toppers announced their return only a week ago, for the Party On The Dancefloor tour, celebrating their 20th anniversary.
Several of their UK and Ireland tour dates have already sold out, including one at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle on 20 November.
Today the five-piece - consisting of Claire Richards, Lee Latchford-Evans, Faye Tozer, Ian ‘H’ Watkins and Lisa Scott-Lee - announced a second date at the venue, on Tuesday, 5 December.
Tickets for the new date, priced from £32.50, go on sale at 9am on Thursday.
Since they announced their reunion, Steps have released new single Scared Of The Dark to rapturous response, topped the iTunes singles chart, and performed on Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.
Scared Of The Dark, which knocked Ed Sheeran off the top of the downloads chart, is the first taste of new album Tears On The Dancefloor, which is due out on 21 April.
At their peak, Steps scored 14 consecutive top five singles, sold more than 20 million records and reached No.1 with three albums and three singles.
They also hold the record for the most consecutive sold-out nights at Wembley.
