A classic family adventure with Mr Toad in the open air

THERE’S a chance to join Badger, Ratty, Mole and Toad for a summer afternoon adventure and picnic in the grounds of Hardwick Park.

Chapterhouse Theatre Company presents the timeless tale of The Wind in the Willows.

With the bumptious Toad’s heart set on a shiny new motorcar and his very liberty soon at stake, will his faithful friends come to his rescue – and will he let them?

Alive with music, song and dance, this family show is presented in traditional costume and features a woodland parade during the interval for everyone to join in with.

A new adaptation of the classic novel loved by children and adults alike, performed in the grounds of the beautiful open-air venue of Hardwick Park, Sedgefield, on Saturday, August 10, from 2pm (doors open 1pm).

This is an open-air theatre performance and will continue in all but the worst weather.

Please take suitable clothing and low-backed seating. Audiences are invited to bring a picnic and/0r purchase refreshments.

From a first year of performances at some 30 venues in 2000, the company has established itself as a successful touring company.
