Hundreds of dancers are showing off their style in a competition which has become an annual attraction.
The Karen Liddle October Annual Dance Festival comes to its finale at the Town Hall Theatre in Hartlepool today.
The four-day event has seen 400 children from five dance schools across the North East, all competing on stage.
Three Hartlepool schools - Karen Liddle, the Elwick Dance Academy and Chique Physique - were doing their best alongside rivals from Durham and Middlesbrough.
Festival organiser Karen Liddle said: “The adjudicator has been really impressed by the standard of all of the children taking part.
“There is also a lovely atmosphere between the different dance schools. It is really friendly and that is what we value in our competitions.”

The festival has been held for 15 years and this year’s event has categories for solos, duets, trios and troupes.
Dance styles on show include tap, modern, song and dance, ballet, character, national and acro.
Top three spots are being awarded in each category and there will also be adjudicator prizes awarded on the last day.
Those wanting to watch the last day of the competition can catch it today. Admission is £4 for adults and £3.50 for concessions and children.
Karen’s next festival will be the annual half-term event in February, also at the Town Hall Theatre.
