Fenwick will be temporarily closing at the end of play on Wednesday, November 4, in line with Government guidlines regarding non-essential retail.

But Fenwick’s famous Christmas window will still go ahead as planned, with a virtual reveal set to take place via the store’s Facebook page at 6.45pm on Sunday, November 8.

In line with restrictions from Newcastle City Council, a section of Northumberland Street will be closed to the public on Sunday and the window and surrounding area will not be viewable.

Enhanced safety measures have also been put in place on Northumberland Street for the duration of the Christmas period, with the window set to be on display until January.

Kieran McBride, Fenwick Newcastle store director, said: "We're delighted that following close coordination with the local council we're still able to go ahead with the Fenwick Christmas window - with safety of colleagues, customers and the community as our top priority.
