He joined Tilly Bailey & Irvine in 2014 as a paralegal and was offered a training contract in 2015. He will be joining the firm’s corporate team, advising clients on commercial contracts and the buying and selling of businesses.
Laura, who joined the firm in 2013, has been studying part time for the Legal Practice Course at BPP Law School in Leeds.
She has spent nearly all of her time working in the Criminal Department as part of the Crown Court team preparing files for trial and will be working with partners John Ellwood and Neil Taylor and other members of the firm’s criminal team on a wide range of matters, including white collar crime, Inland Revenue Tax investigations, corporate infringements, theft and motoring offences.
Michael and Lauras qualification coincides with the firm appointing Wendy Beacom as a Chartered Legal Executive.
John Hall, partner at Tilly Bailey & Irvine, said: “One of the reasons for the firm’s longevity is its commitment to training young graduates to become future solicitors. We are delighted to offer Michael and Laura positions following their qualification and we wish all three every success.”
