Top business honour for Hartlepool recycling firm

A recycling firm in Hartlepool has been named as the UK leader in a global competition set up to recognise businesses which show continuous improvement.

The awards – run by Corporate LiveWire – saw J&B Recycling named as the Most Outstanding In Recycling Solutions in the Innovation and Excellence category.

J&B Recycling, which employs almost 200 staff in Hartlepool and Middlesbrough, has invested £6m into a state-of-the-art materials recycling facility, which sorts and processes various kinds of waste, and has also has also invested heavily in equipment for both sites.
