One woman taken to hospital after three vehicle crash at Hartlepool junction

A woman has been taken to hospital after two cars and an SUV collided at a crossroads.

Police, paramedics and a fire crew were called to Grange Road with its junction with Mulgrave Road at 9.55am today after the three vehicles collided.

Two Vauxhall Corsas and a Volvo XC90 were involved.

Cleveland Police diverted traffic from the area for around an hour, while walking wounded were given first aid treatment and the woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The North East Ambulance Service confirmed it has sent an ambulance following a report of a road traffic collision.

Firefighters helped clear the vehicles and debries from the road and made them safe.
