Two people have been taken to hospital following a late night crash in Hartlepool.

Emergency services were called to Dalton Back Lane at around 10.40pm on Saturday, May 22, after a car rolled over and a person was thought to be trapped.

A man and woman were then taken to the University Hospital of North Tees but their injuries have not been confirmed.

A North East Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “We were called at 10.40pm on Saturday to reports of a road traffic collision on Dalton Back Lane in Hartlepool involving one patient, where the vehicle had rolled over and a person was thought to be trapped.

"We sent an ambulance and took a male and female patient to the University Hospital of North Tees.”
