Hartlepool United’s EFL Trophy draw is complete as they will face Everton U21’s in group A.
Pools have been drawn alongside Harrogate Town from League Two and Morecambe from League One with Everton’s youngsters completing group A of the Northern section of the competition.
Pools reached the semi-final stage last season before suffering penalty shootout heartache against Rotherham United in front of a sold-out Suit Direct Stadium following a pulsating 2-2 draw.
This year’s EFL Trophy campaign will begin the week commencing August 29.
