Charlton striker wants to stay
It’s no secret that Boro’s priority is to sign some new strikers this summer.

Hide AdThe Teessiders are one of several clubs who have been credited with interest in Charlton forward Chuks Aneke, who has also been linked with Reading, Coventry, QPR and Bristol City.
Aneke will be out of contract this summer but Charlton boss Nigel Adkins sats the forward wants to stay at The Valley.
“We released three and the others I wanted to stay at the football club,” Adkins told the South London Press.
“They and their agents are in negotiation with Steve Gallen, who is representing our football club in those negotiations and our budget.

Hide Ad“All the players who are out of contract have a right to see what else is out there.
“They have all said to me they want to stay, which is a big thing.
“But the business side of it has got to be done in terms of concluding their contracts. All I can do is tell them I want them to stay – that they have got a place to be if they want to be here.”
Fletcher’s message to Boro fans
It was confirmed earlier this week that striker Ashley Fletcher will join Premier League newsboys Watford.

Hide AdThe move will bring to an end the striker’s four-year spell at Boro, where he scored 28 goals in 109 appearances.
Fletcher has taken to social media to thank Boro fans for their support.
He posted: “To everyone at Middlesbrough Football Club, I want to thank you for the past four years.
"The management and staff have helped me improve along the way, the players that all became friends as well as team-mates and you the fans who have shown me a lot of love and support.
