Dreamboats and Pettocoats musical set to wow audiences at Billingham Forum

A hit musical is celebrating ten years on the stage with a tour which includes the Tees Valley.

Dreamboats and Petticoats The Musical comes to the Forum Theatre in Billingham from March 13 to March 18.

The show was written by Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran, who were the writers behind TV classics such as Goodnight Sweetheart, Birds of a Feather, The New Statesmen and Shine On Harvey Moon.

It features classic tracks from Roy Orbison, The Shadows, Eddie Cochran, Billy Fury, and more.

Tickets are now on sale for the show which is produced by Bill Kenwright and Laurie Mansfield in association with Universal Music.

The show is set in 1961, and features two young musicians Norman and Bobby who compete to win a national song writing competition – and the attention of a lovely lady.

There’s twists and turns along the way in the musical which features some of the greatest hit songs of the Rock ‘n’ Roll era.

These include Let’s Dance, To Know Him Is To Love Him, Shaking All Over, and Bobby’s Girl.

Listen out too for Only Sixteen, Runaround Sue, Happy Birthday Sweet 16, Let It Be Me, and Great Pretender.

Seats for the Monday evening performance are priced at £26.

Tickets for the Tuesday to Thursday evening are £29 or £27 with concessions.

The Wednesday matinee costs £24 while all seats for the Saturday matinee, and Friday and Saturday evenings are £30.

All evening shows start at 7.30pm while the Wednesday and Saturday matinees begin at 2.30pm.
