Dalton Park to extend opening hours after lockdown with Christmas late night shopping

When the shopping centre reopens on Wednesday, December 2, stores will be able to operate until 7pm on week days up to and including Wednesday, December 23.

Weekend trading hours will be 9.30am to 6pm on Saturdays and 10.30am to 4.30pm on Sundays – with Christmas Eve opening hours set for 9am until 4pm.

It is hoped that the extended hours will provide extra support to retailers following the Covid-19 lockdown and allow shoppers more time to get their Christmas shopping.

Jerry Hatch, Dalton Park's Centre Manager, said: "We have taken the decision to extend our opening hours, not only to support our wonderful retailers but also to give everyone that experience of being able to enjoy some Christmas shopping.

"Our Christmas decorations were installed earlier this month and we've missed sharing the start of our Christmas period with guests. The centre is beginning to feel very festive, and we know people will have an enjoyable shopping experience when visiting Dalton Park."

The extended opening hours will also allow Dalton Park to manage shopper numbers to keep everyone safe.

Some of the retailers taking part include Adidas, Lindt, Molton Brown, Next Outlet and M&S Outlet.

Last month, it was confirmed that a brand new Costa store will be opening in time for Christmas, with the full festive menu available from launch.

As well as Costa, Morrisons opened their brand new supermarket yesterday (Thursday, November 26) which is open until 10pm Monday to Saturday.
