Hartlepool factory wins a deal in Azerbaijan to add to its growing order book
JDR will make and supply more than three miles of fibre optic power cables and a steel tube valve for a project off Azerbaijan.
It will mean an existing platform can be attached to a new one in the Caspian Sea and the deal is the first to have been secured with the client.

Hide AdThe cables, junction boxes and other parts will be made at JDR’s Hartlepool plant. JDR is owned by the TFKable Group and its Bydgoszcz factory in Poland will make the cores for the power cable.
JDR will package and ship the products via the Eurasia canal to the Caspian Sea using a 26ft cable installation reel. JDR will design the power cable and umbilical specifically to fit the vessel, which has size limitations due to the narrowing of the canal.
Mr Graham added; “The transportation limitation is one we have overcome before and, with our technical expertise, we can ensure delivery will be smooth and efficient.”
