A spokesperson said: “Over the last few years, Learning Curve Group has provided government-funded courses and apprenticeships to Hartlepool residents and businesses.

“It has continued to invest in the education and training available to the town through their recently opened Beauty Academy and takeover of Total Training but there is so much more that residents and employers can take advantage of.

“The opportunity to sponsor the Hartlepool Business Awards means we can engage with potential learners, businesses and community partners to bring even more skills development to the town through meaningful partnerships.”

Firms have been given a deadline by which they must have submitted their nominations. It is 5pm on Friday, March 27.
