Pet lovers get first look inside Vet Partners' new Hartlepool state-of-the-art practice
A Hartlepool veterinary’s clients and pet lovers were given an exclusive sneak peek of its new state-of-the-art premises during an open day.
Clifton Lodge Vets welcomed visitors to its new facility at Sovereign Park, on Brenda Road, at the weekend ahead of its official opening on Thursday, April 30.
It is moving from its former home on Stockton Road, Hartlepool, after 50 years as part of an investment by VetPartners, a vet-led group of veterinary practices and animal healthcare businesses across the UK and Europe of which Clifton Lodge is part.
Guests attending the open day on Sunday were given guided tours of the spacious, modern facility and got the opportunity to meet the team of vets, veterinary nurses and receptionists who will be caring for their pets.

Practice manager Donna Wren said: “It was a very proud day showing people around the new practice, as a tremendous amount of hard work has gone into creating this fantastic facility.
“Clients were really impressed and valued the opportunity to see behind the scenes of areas not normally open to the public, gaining a better understanding of how a veterinary practice operates.
“As vets and veterinary nurses, our priority is to deliver the very highest standards of care and treatment for our patients, alongside excellent service for their owners, and we’re excited to officially open our doors.”
During the open day, young visitors also got to try on vets’ scrubs as they learned what being a vet was all about.

And there were some tasty treats to enjoy including ice cream.
The new purpose-built Clifton Lodge practice features five consultation rooms, three operating theatres and a dedicated intensive care unit for critically ill pets.
The site also includes separate cattery and kennel areas, a diagnostic imaging and X-ray suite, plus preparation and isolation areas, a dental suite, and a private bereavement room to support clients during difficult times.
The practice will also house a CT scanner capable of producing detailed three-dimensional images of a pet’s internal tissues and organs.
VetPartners says the advanced technology enables vets to diagnose conditions that are not easily detected using conventional imaging such as X-rays or ultrasound.
Clifton Lodge Vets employs 12 vets across its four sites and has 9,885 clients across Durham and Teesside on its books.
