Specsavers backing the Best of Hartlepool Awards - at the double!
Specsavers are on board as a backer of this year’s awards.
They have given their support to two categories of the annual search to find Hartlepool’s finest community heroes.
Ian Walker, store director at Specsavers Hartlepool, was full of praise for the competition and its standard of entries.

He explained why Specsavers were so keen to be involved in the awards.

Hide AdMr Walker told of his ‘honour to be able to present the award winners of the Sporting Excellence and Sports Team of the Year categories this year – I am sure it will be stiff competition in both groups.
“The local sporting scene always amazes me which is why it will be such a hard decision for the judges.
“Sporting nominees are incredibly inspiring as they are always aiming to be the very best and at the top of their game which is what we strive for at Specsavers.
“This year, we invested in 3D scanning technology for our customers which is a cutting-edge piece of machinery to ensure we are providing top class service. And there’s more investment in new and impressive technology to come

Hide AdThe awards evening will be held at Hardwick Hall on Wednesday, December 4 and awards will be handed out in categories which include Volunteer of the Year, Community Group, Sports Team, Fundraiser of the Year, Carer of the Year and Student of the Year.
