Hartlepool youngster Foxx McCully lands role in new educational film about the Royal Family
A seven-year-old Hartlepool boy is taking more successful steps in the entertainment world with his latest role.
Young Hartlepool performer Foxx McCully has joined a cast of 15 children from across the UK in a new educational film all about the modern British Royal Family.
It is created by Lydia Alty, a 20-year-old royal journalist and YouTuber from Buckinghamshire, who has amassed more than 280,000 subscribers and over 100 million views across social media platforms.
The project aims to educate young people and families about the Royal Family and the work they do while promoting safe, accurate, and age-appropriate online learning.

The video, which was released on November 7 on Lydia’s online channels, has been written specifically for children aged five to 12.
According to Lydia, the project was inspired by her desire to create easy-to-understand educational videos for children.
Alongside her work as a royal journalist, Lydia regularly collaborates with school groups and is a strong advocate for online safety.
She says she wants children to have access to “trustworthy, informative content” that isn’t clouded by the gossip and misinformation often found on social media platforms.

Lydia is also actively campaigning for a better understanding of how to keep children safe online, a mission that drives her work and her passion for producing high-quality, factual educational media.
Foxx, one of the youngest narrators in the film, is said to have narrated sections about Prince William, focusing on his environmental and humanitarian work.
Foxx, who also has a pantomime role lined up, is said to have “brought warmth, excitement, and authenticity to his role,” impressing everyone on set.
Already a familiar face on screen, Foxx has appeared in television adverts for Sky Sports and McDonald’s and continues to train in dance, acting, and singing at Hartlepool’s VA Performing Arts.
Represented by SA Castings, Foxx auditioned for the role in mid-October and received confirmation almost immediately.
A spokesperson said: “At just seven years old, Foxx McCully is proving himself to be one of the North East’s brightest young talents — passionate, hardworking and already using his voice to help educate and inspire others.
