11 pictures of English Martyrs School being demolished

Ageing school buildings at English Martyrs School and Sixth Form College in Hartlepool are continuing to disappear as they are demolished.

Work started earlier this year to clear the site on Catcote Road after the school moved into a brand new building on the site last September.

Some of the old classroms have now been completely pulled down.

All of the old school, apart from some of the newer buildings used by the Sixth Form and music and arts departments, are due to disappear by the summer.

Once demolished, the site will be returfed.

Here are a selection of pictures of the work in progress.
