Families praise Hartlepool schools for going above and beyond during pandemic

It goes without saying that school staff have been a lifeline to Hartlepool families during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Whether your children have been learning from home or able to attend class in person, they would have been lost without the support of their school’s staff during an academic year filled with ever-changing restrictions and uncertainty.

Every single member of staff involved in supporting our young people across Hartlepool and beyond deserves our heartfelt thanks.

Judith Lawson: “Catcote Academy! They have been amazing throughout all the lockdowns, managing to keep all the spirits up and familiar routines for all children who at the best of times have high anxiety levels.

"They are all absolutely amazing for what they do and deserve to be recognised for it.”

Carol Burton: “High Tunstall have been absolutely fantastic throughout all this, they’ve worked through holidays, kept the students motivated, and no matter how often the Government move sthe goal posts, Mr Tilling and his staff have always accommodated.

"The support my girls have had has been excellent, I couldn’t ask for more, the teachers have worked hard to do the online lessons, they’ve definitely gone above and beyond.”

Vicky Elsdon: “English Martyrs have been great. The teachers are working hard to do online lessons everyday and still keep up spirits with little house competitions. Well done everyone at EMS.”

Kimberley Devine: “I do agree that all schools and nursery settings have worked hard in these difficult times, but Barnard Grove Primary go above and beyond, nothing is ever too much trouble for them.”

Donna Kerr: “They’ve all done amazing and the teachers deserve every bit of credit but Throston Primary have been outstanding, I couldn’t have wished for a better school, teachers or head to look after my son.”

Amy Louise Oxley: “Brougham Primary School definitely. They have done everything possible to support not just the children but the families too. Not just during this pandemic but all the time. The staff are so caring and lovely.”

"Overcoming obstacles has come naturally for Rossmere; they think of everything. Can’t thank them enough for what they doing. Keep up the great work.”
