Hartlepool student wins place at Eton: St Hild's and Manor Academy GCSE results
Manor Community Academy student Kenny Morgan has secured a two-year scholarship at Eton College after getting nine top grade 9s in his exam results.
Kenny Morgan was among a host of students and parents jumping for joy after receiving their results at the school.

Hide AdManor Academy, part of the Northern Education Trust, said they were delighted by their students’ success.
Grades were awarded using Centre Assessed Grades reflecting students’ hard work and mock exams results.
Principal Lee Kirtley said: “I am yet again incredibly proud of the achievements of our students and the determination they showed towards their studies, particularly during the unprecedented final months of year 11.
"Whilst it is always hard to see a year group leave, we know they have the tools they need to be successful in the next stage of lives.”

Hide AdOther high-achieving Manor students included Finlay Ward: six 9s, two 8s, one 7, and a Level 2 Pass in a technical award; Matthew Fenwick: three 9s, four 8s, one 7 and two 6s; and Lorna Herbert: two 9s, one 8, two 7s, two 6s, two 5s and a Distinction star.
St Hild’s School in Hartlepool was also proud of their GCSE pupils after the difficult end to the school year.
Headteacher Tracey Gibson said: “We are incredibly proud of the way pupils have worked throughout their time at St Hild's Church of England School and how this has enabled them to achieve.
"The grades our graduates have collected is no surprise to them and they are exactly the grades that they have worked for.

Jessica Prasad achieved nine grade 9s and a grade 8 while Lewis Hay achieved seven 9s and three 8s.
Both will attend Durham Sixth Form to do A-levels.
And Jamie Hayes achieved nine grade 9s, three 8s, a 7 and a 6, and is going to English Martyrs Sixth Form.
*High Tunstall student Anna Willis achieved nine grade 9s and one grade 8. Friday’s Mail stated she received eight 9s based on information received.
