These are the areas in Hartlepool with the highest and lowest numbers of coronavirus deaths

The Office for National Statistics has released new data on the number of coronavirus related deaths in local areas across England and Wales

For Hartlepool, it gives a detailed breakdown on how many deaths involving Covid-19 occurred in 12 neighbourhoods between March 1 and May 31.

As lockdown measures continue to be eased by the Government, Hartlepool is said to sit in the worst 20% nationally for the virus infection rate with continued warnings from civic leaders to remain vigilant and continue to follow social distancing.

According to the figures there were are total of 110 deaths in March, April and May.

The areas with the highest number of deaths were Headland and West View with 14, followed by Wooler Road area with 13, and Rift House & Summerhill also with 13.
