Food lovers have been known to queue for hours to get their Good Friday fish and chips.
But due to the measures brought in to slow the spread of Covid-19, many popular seafront spots have been deserted this year.
As the Easter weekend got underway on Friday, April 10, residents stayed at home and businesses remained closed in Hartlepool – as police officers were seen making sure everyone followed the rules.
