24 fantastic rainbow pictures lifting spirits across Hartlepool during coronavirus lockdown

Hartlepool children are bringing a little colour to life in these uncertain times by putting drawings of rainbows in their windows.

Schools encouraged youngsters to ‘spread hope’ after schools were forced to largely shut due to coronavirus and a trend started online.

It has been enthusiastically taken up by these Hartlepool youngsters whose family shared their pictures with the Mail.

And the colourful pictures and creative window displays are having an effect.

Tracy Theobald said on the Mail’s Facebook page where the pictures have been shared: “I still have to go to work in a high risk place. I did not want to go this morning but seeing these in the windows it defiantly made me smile it felt like the people in that house were telling me to keep safe and saying thank you for still having to work. Stay safe everyone x”.
