A further 18 Covid cases confirmed in Hartlepool as latest figures are released

Another 18 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Hartlepool, as no further Covid-related deaths are reported in the town.

The Government confirmed on Wednesday, June 23, that 19 more people who tested positive for coronavirus (Covid-19) had died, leaving the total number of confirmed reported deaths in the UK to 128,027.

Deaths are recorded as Covid-19 related where a person has died within 28 days of a positive test.

Across the UK on Wednesday, June 23, it was announced that 16,135 more people had tested positive for coronavirus, bringing the total since the start of the pandemic to 4,667,870.
