Due to Covid-19 Alice House Hospice have been forced to cancel their popular Dogs' Big Day Out event at Summerhill which was due to happen on Sunday, July 12.
But hospice bosses have announced Dogs' Big Day Out #Lockdown featuring photo competitions, a prize raffle and sponsored walks.

Hide AdThere are six classes to enter in the photo competition with the winners entered into a vote for Best In Show.
To enter send Alice House Hospice a Facebook message with a picture of your pet, their name, your name and which category you would like to enter them in.
The categories and the dates they will appear on the hospice's Facebook page for voting are: Monday, June 8, Most Like Their Owner; Tuesday, June 9, Happiest Hound; Wednesday, June 10, Best Fancy Dress; Thursday, June 11, Saddest Eyes; Friday, June 12, Best of the Rest (non-dog category).
Winners will be decided according to how many ‘likes’ dogs receive and voting will be open between 10am-4pm each day.

Hide AdThe hospice said: “We'll also be announcing an overall winner Best in Show on Monday 15th June, judged from the winners of the four dog categories.
“The lucky Best in Show winner will receive a top prize!
“Entry is free and the #Lockdown Dogs’ Day Out is just for fun, but if you would like to show support during these difficult times we would be truly grateful for any donations.”
People can donate through the Alice House Facebook Fundraiser.
There is also an online raffle through the Alice House Hospice website with the first prize being an outdoor photo shoot with Hartlepool photographer Ashley Foster.

Hide AdSecond prize is an amazing doggy hamper full to the brim with goodies.
The winner will be announced on Monday, June 15.
And with the Dogs’ Big Day Out sponsored walk unable to take place, the hospice is suggesting owners dedicate a week or a day of dog walking to the hospice by raising sponsorship.
