Hartlepool comedian Danny Posthill keeps spirits up with hilarious video of celebs in lockdown

The Britain’s Got Talent finalist has made a Celebrity Big Brother style sketch for the Hook, an online news, entertainment and comedy channel that has more than 7.5 million followers.
In the video filmed in Danny’s own home in Hartlepool, he plays a number of celebrities and politicians such as Boris Johnson, Ant and Dec, and Donald Trump and how they may be coping in isolation.
It has been viewed almost 70,000 times.

Hide AdAll of Danny’s upcoming gigs have been cancelled by the restrictions on movement. But like a growing number of performers, he is using the internet to continue to reach fans.
He is due to perform a gig from his home this weekend that will be streamed live to audiences.
Danny, 33, said of the sketch Celebrity Lockdown: “The Hook got in touch and said they had seen my impressions online and wanted me to do some sketches for them.
“I thought it was a great idea, and because it went so well I have filmed two more episodes.”

Hide AdComplete with a Big Brother style voiceover, Danny plays Ant and Dec bantering about whose turn it is to buy the toilet roll, sports commentator John Motson getting excited while watching neighbours leaving the house, and how adventurer Bear Grylls might cope on lockdown.
It has gone down well with viewers with one saying: “Cheered me up no end,” and others hailing it “amazing”.
Danny added: “The way they edit it is brilliant and it keeps me going as well.
“Everyone’s going through a tough time because we’re all in the same boat. I think entertainers are needed because no-one can go out.”

Hide AdDanny has been making private video messages for fans, and on Saturday, April 4, he will perform a live gig from his home via Zoom Video.
