Hartlepool streets remain deserted as we enter second week of coronavirus lockdown

The streets of Hartlepool remain very quiet as the second week of a nationwide coronavirus lockdown begins.

Many of the town’s busiest roads were practically deserted on Monday, March 30, as people follow the Government’s advice to stay at home thereby helping to protect the NHS and save lives.

There was barely a soul to be seen on Park Road, at Seaton Carew, Headland promenade, Church Square, and Catcote Road when Mail photographer Frank Reid was out to take these pictures.

People have been venturing out to shop or get their daily exercise, but remember to stay at least two metres (six feet) away from others, and only go out where you live.
