Hartlepool DJ Les Watts is set to bring a smile to the faces of children from around 50 homes in the town when he delivers Easter eggs to their door on Easter Sunday.
The granddad-of-seven will follow Government social distancing guidelines as he undertakes the charitable task in the hopes of raising spirits of families under lockdown.

The 57-year-old hopes his fun act will help bring some joy to families over the Easter weekend despite the difficult times we are facing.
He said: “I have seven grandchildren and not being able to see them at the moment is the hardest thing.
“So I wanted to bring the community together and spread the joy of Easter by putting a smile on kid’s faces.

“I'll message each house to say I am a few minutes away and then will knock on the door, leave the eggs and then do the likes of bunny hops, virtual hugs to the families.”And the effort will also raise funds for Alice House Hospice in the town, with families involved donating to the charity for each egg delivered.
Les continued: “I was going to do it for nothing but then people said; ‘why not donate to charity?’
“So I am collecting donations for the hospice and all of the money raised will go to the charity.”
